The Brigade Backsense® BS-7100 77GHz Radar Detection System (Part No. 7248) is a robust vehicle safety system designed to detect people and objects in blind spots, providing the operator with visual and audible warnings when hazards are detected.


With three selectable preset detection ranges, the BS-7100 can be configured for different vehicle and machine applications without requiring complex calibration. Detection ranges of 3m, 4.5m or 6m make it suitable for a wide range of commercial vehicles, construction equipment and plant machinery.


Backsense® heavy-duty radar proximity sensor systems are designed to improve vehicle safety by detecting stationary and moving objects within blind spots and other high-risk areas. When an object is detected, the system provides the driver with clear visual and audible in-cab warnings, helping to alert operators to potential hazards that may otherwise go unnoticed.


Built to perform in demanding environments, Backsense® radar sensors provide reliable obstacle detection in challenging conditions, including darkness, smoke, fog and poor visibility.


Available in both fixed-range and fully programmable models, Backsense® systems can be configured to suit individual vehicle and application requirements. Programmable models allow detection zones to be tailored to specific areas, while fixed objects, vehicle bodywork and other permanent obstructions can be calibrated out to help minimise false alerts.
